Few things are more intractable than describing a \u2018philosophy of education\u2019, yet the guiding philosophy of St. Francis Assisi School is simply and easily expressed. We exist in order to provide active, reflective and creative learning in an environment enriched with support, encouragement and assistance. We celebrate the pursuit of lifelong learning, all the while stressing on the total development of each child: spiritual, moral, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical.\u00a0Our mission is to develop young people with active and creative minds, a sense of understanding and compassion for others, and the courage to act on their beliefs. Our faculty and staff clearly embody the values that we seek to teach. They regard their task here as a sacred one, reflective of the belief that there is \u201cthat of God\u201d in each person.Our aspiration is both noble and bold: that each person in St. Francis Assisi School respects and cherishes what is unique and of infinite value in themselves and in others.\u00a0Assisi School recognizes that each child is an individual; that all children are creative; that all children need to succeed.
